Australian Bicycle Council

The Australian Bicycle Council (ABC) site contains the National Cycling Strategy and information that relates to cycling within Australian states and territories. It manages and coordinates the implementation of cycling. This is a useful and well referenced resource for advocates. This site also has the Bikeability Toolkit that helps communities and local governments to access checklists, resource materials, guidelines and references to assist in the implementation of local bikeability audits and actions.

Bicycle Federation of Australia

The Bicycle Federation of Australia (BFA) is the non-profit, national representative of the various state cycling advocacy groups for recreation, transportation and health. It has information on the Australian Bicycle Council (ABC), the BFA's policies, cycle tourism, the Bikeability Toolkit developed by the BFA for the Department of Environment and Heritage, and details of significant events and activities organised by the BFA and its member organisations. It also has a database of resources from Australia and around the world on cycling advocacy and strategies for improving cycling.

Its major activities are non-motorised urban planning, economic development, bike safety education, responsible travel and bicycle tourism, cross-cultural and educational programs.
